Shirley Hass Schuett was a nurse practitioner who served as the nurse consultant for WWC and was instrumental in the program's success in achieving positive clinical outcomes for women and helping the program to meet all core performance indicators.
The FY 2016 regional award winners, announced at this year’s Road Shows, were selected by WWC staff based on FY 2015 performance indicators. The staff selected agencies that were top performers in program performance indicators and agencies that demonstrated the most improvement in these measures.
The Southeast region winner is Teller County Public Health
Teller County Public Health was a top performer in seven program performance indicators and was also most improved in the following program performance indicator:- Rarely or never screened at initial Pap test.
The Denver area region winner is Tri-County Health Department
Tri-County Health Department was a top performer in five program performance indicators and was also most improved in three program performance indicators:- Abnormal Breast Screenings with Complete Follow-up
- Time from screening to diagnosis for abnormal cervical screening results
- Time from cancer diagnosis to enrollment into BCCP Medicaid
The Southwest region winner is Community Health Clinic
Community Health Clinic (Dolores) was a top performer in five program performance indicators and was also most improved in two program performance indicators:- Rarely or never screened at initial Pap test.
- Screening Mammograms provided to women 50 years of age or older.
The Northwest region winner is Community Health Services
Community Health Services was a top performer in four program performance indicators and was also most improved in the following program performance indicator:- Data entry timeliness.
The Northeast region winner is Sunrise Community Health Center
Sunrise Community Health Center was a top performer in three program performance indicators and was also most improved in two program performance indicators:- Abnormal Breast Screenings with Complete Follow-up.
- Time from cancer diagnosis to enrollment into BCCP Medicaid.
Two agencies also received honorable mention based on their performance in the highly competitive Southeast region.
St. Thomas More Hospital was a top performer in six program performance indicators and was also most improved in the following program performance indicator:
- Screening Mammograms provided to women 50 years of age or older.
Peak Vista Community Health Center was a top performer in five program performance indicators and was also most improved in two program performance indicators:
- Abnormal Cervical Screenings with Complete Follow-up
- Time from cancer diagnosis to enrollment into BCCP Medicaid
