Updates to caution flags in eCaST
Several updates to the "Pending screenings not complete" caution flag have been made in eCaST aimed to streamline data entry and review processes. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns with any of these changes. Changes include:
- Women who are asymptomatic with a normal CBE, no mammogram, and a pending follow-up recommendation now have a more specific caution flag: "Normal CBE awaiting mammogram" rather than "Pending screenings not complete." As a reminder, three months after the CBE is performed, eCaST will automatically close these cases for you by updating mammogram reason to incomplete and follow-up reason to routine screening and reimburse your agency at a level B1.
- Women with a normal Pelvic exam, no Pap or HPV, and a pending follow-up recommendation now have caution flag "Normal Pelvic awaiting Pap/HPV" rather than "Pending screenings not complete."
- Women with breast symptoms and a normal CBE now have caution flag "Additional diagnostics required..." rather than "Pending screenings not complete." They now appear on your Case Management Report.
- Cases not meeting the scenarios described above will continue to show "Pending screenings not complete." Please routinely review these to ensure you are updating the follow-up recommendation after all clinical services are completed.
